There are a number of threads on here that suggest adding Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies as TV, and then renaming Looney Tunes Golden Collection DVDs to conform to the TheTVDB naming format. This is possible, but I found it impossibly time consuming.Over on the, a user has suggested adding Looney Tunes files as a separate movie library. After all Looney Tunes were originally shown in movie theaters, and they were eligible for Academy Awards. Sure enough, if you add the Looney Tunes Golden Collection as movies (and I do suggest a separate library due to the sheer volume of files) Plex does an admirable job of correctly matching the file names and pulling in the right posters and metadata WITHOUT requiring any file renaming. You will need to correct a few matches (Looney Tunes are often very similarly named, or punnily named after other movies - so Plex gets confused sometimes.I'm posting this as a standalone thread because all of the older Looney Tunes Golden Collection threads are archived here. Hopefully someone else finds this approach as useful as I did.
